Contact the office in order setup an appointment for the initial evaluation. During the evaluation, the doctor/therapist will be conducting an examination including developmental & medical history, symptoms, and mental status in order to assess the severity of the concerning problem.

A treatment plan will be discussed as well any diagnosis discovered

Dr. Edan M. Alcalay's initial evaluation cost is $595/50 mins. While each subsequent psychotherapy session cost $295/45 mins.

We do offer a reduced fee structure with our other mental health therapists, please call us to discuss options.

Psychological symptoms often vary in degree and are complex. Therefore the treatment course depends on many factors. As a rule of thumb, progress is expecting to be within 12-16 session. Results are not guaranteed; however are likely expected once treatment goals are formulated.

During treatment, a few key factors are important for psychological improvement.

1. Goodness of Fit- you feel comfortable with your therapist

2. There is honesty in your ability to express yourself

3. Trust has been established between yourself and the doctor

4. Feeling able to express yourself without a sense of judgment

If your child is entering in psychological treatment, it is essential that your child feel comfortable with the doctor. This intial phase of treatment takes about 5 sessions. After that is established, the doctor might ask to have a Parents Update session to provide feedback with assent from your child in order to maintain therapeutic alliance.

Please provide 24 hours prior to the appointment time otherwise a FULL FEE is assessed. We need appropriate time to schedule another patient should you not make it. Thank you for your consideration!
